Our football club plays evening matches on an artificial-turf pitch — a few hours a week where the whole company is on the same team.
What is the CloudCommerce football club?
It is a social club where colleagues play football together in the evening, on an artificial-turf pitch under floodlights, in small-sided matches. Not every team in the company is a work team — this one is for the love of the game.
Who plays in it?
Colleagues from across the company — the pitch is full of people who might otherwise only meet in a video call, mixed together in green bibs and their own shirts.
Why does a football club matter for work?
Because people who have shared a pitch find it easier to ask each other for help on Monday. The matches are friendly and quick, with a lot of laughing, and they build the kind of trust that meetings rarely do.
What other clubs and activities are there?
